Biography
Charles was born in Glendale, California. At a very
young age, he found himself very fascinated with how things worked and enjoyed
watching others build and create. By the age of 13, he developed an interest in
performing sound effects and voice impersonations. This interest in sound lead
him to gaining experience operating sound systems for school functions, church
services, special events and choir cantatas.
During Jr. High and throughout High School, Charles took 4 years of art,
photography, architecture, mechanical design and helped as an art aide for one
year. He displayed his artistic talents through his work on the yearbook staff
and also through the performing arts while acting and creating sound effects for
numerous school plays. In his last year of high school, he presented a slide show
at graduation in which he had compiled over two years of photos from his and his
classmates' experiences.
After high school, Charles attended Platt College in Los Angeles for graphic
design. He studied graphics for a few years and felt he needed more of a
challenge and found himself in textile design in which he was able to use a bit
more of his own creativity. As the world of digital media technology was
advancing, it was necessary for him to educate himself in web site design and computer
graphics from The Learning Tree University in Thousand Oaks, California. Upon
submitting his final exam project for his computer graphics class, the
instructor exclaimed, "This project is better than what my advanced class
students usually turn in."
With Charles' incredible talents in creativity, he found himself with continuous
word-of-mouth jobs utilizing all of his skills. He worked freelance as an event
photographer, videographer, disc jockey, closed circuit television operator for
large events held at church, and also has designed many custom event invitations
and programs.
All of this experience and talent has brought Charles to where he is today. For
the past 7 years, he has been a freelance wedding and event video editor creating
photo and video montages that are presented at special events and given as
priceless heirloom gifts to friends and families.
